Another Industry Accolade for Close Credit
December 2007
Close Credit Management (CCM) have been awarded the prestigious Commercial Debt Collection Agency (DCA) of the year honour at an industry awards ceremony hosted by Credit Today Magazine.
The award is just another accolade to add to Close Credit's total for the year, which includes the ISO 9001:2000 accomplishment for Process Improvements and has seen a number of its staff recognised for their commitment both through NVQ's in Management and professional body accolades from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
The DCA of the Year awards were held during a gala celebration dinner at the Hilton Metropole, Birmingham, on Wednesday 28 November, as part of a two-day event with conferences and training sessions for professionals in the world of debt sale, purchase, collections and recoveries.
Close also played a major part at the conference as Group Operations Director Martin Smith was invited to be a guest speaker. Martin was part of a keynote panel discussing the importance of trace and data checking within the industry something which Close have been asked to comment on several times this year.
Anne Roberts, Head of Corporate Communications for the company stated "CCM are one of a few key DCA's that are helping to mould and change the face of the debt collection industry. Working alongside industry bodies such as the CSA, ICM and the FLA, as well as trade publications such as Credit Today has enabled us to start to drive the wind of change through an industry tarnished with a bad reputation for many years". Continuing, she added, "receiving this award helps us to see that our work doesn't go unrecognised and I would like to thank everyone in the commercial collections team and those involved in putting together the nomination for their hard work. Here's to 2008!".
